    This codelist was developed to identify patients receiving a alanine tranfseraminase test, as an indicator of a liver function test, where a numerical value is recorded.

  3. Methodology

    We identified the full ALT codes (see ALT codelist), and excluded any codes which did not have at least approximately 10 thousand codes in EMIS and SystmOne recorded in 2020, where a reasonable proportion had numerical values attached.
