    Identifies codes which refer to bone fractures, which are not: -Clearly caused by a high-trauma event -Explicitly referred to as fragility fractures -Linked with an established diagnosis of osteoporosis -Of a type where osteoporosis is implausible, e.g. greenstick fractures in healthy bones

    Search terms: Fracture

    Inclusion criteria for codes: Codes which refer to bone fractures

    Exclusion criteria for codes: Codes which refer to a complication of a fracture, but not the fracture event itself. Codes which suggest that the fracture was caused by a traumatic event. Codes which indicate the patient is already known to have osteoporosis. Codes which refer to non-bone fractures, e.g. cartilage. Codes which refer to types of fractures occuring in children, who would likely have healthy bones. Codes which are already covered in fragility fracture codelist (FF_COD).
