    This codelist was taken from OpenCodelists, created by OpenSAFELY. We recommend viewing this Phenotype on the OpenCodelist website to view the most recent version.

    This code list contains the DM\&D list of all antipsychotics that are available in long acting injectable form. It includes first generation (depot) antipsychotics and second generation long acting injections. Zuclopenthixol acetate which is a short/medium acting depot injection is not included.

  3. Methodology

    This list was developed by going through the list of antipsychotics in BNF chapter 4.2.2 which contains all antipsychotic long acting injections. It was crosschecked against the Snomed list of antipsychotics. Fluphenazine and Piportil were also included even though these have recently been discontinued in the UK and therefore no longer feature in the BNF.
